The Hon. Miguel A. Dominguez, Vice Governor Steve Solon, Vice Mayor Tito T. Balazon, and Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the Heads of Offices of the National Government Agencies, our very active partners and friends in the business sector, the academe, the various organizations representing the civil society, our esteemed and respected church and religious leaders, Barangay Officials, Heads of the Departments, fellow workers in the government, members of the media, my husband and the members of the family, friends, ladies and gentlemen, naimbag a malem kadakayo amin, maayong hapon kaninyong tanan, mapia malulom, magandang hapon, few koloy, good afternoon to you all.

Today I stand before you inspired and buoyed up by your trust and confidence. Indeed I am deeply honored to take an oath of office as your mayor. But I am sad today that in our endeavor, I have lost my very dear friend, Edwin.

At this time, the peace and order of Maitum is a priority. Now is your chance to show your love for Maitum.

I am sure you would want a better environment for you and your children and if you do, then join me in making Maitum a peace-loving community.

I will not be able to do this alone. I need your help. Kailangan ko ang tulong ninyo para mahinto ang mga masasamang pangyayari ditto sa ating bayan.

The rights of the children, the elderly, and all the constituents of Maitum is one of my priorities alongside the development efforts focusing on meaningful programs on health, education, economics, and basic social services.

We will also focus our efforts on ecological solid waste management forests and coastal resource management.

We will strengthen the significant role and active participation of our muslim and indigenous brothers and sisters, in governanceand in the development of our municipality.

I acknowledge that we have some of the best and dedicated government employees that when put to test, can rise to almost any occasion. Rest assured that my leadership will motivate each employee to work not only harder but toward excellence.

As your new local chief executive, I know you have high hopes in terms of my attitude and the delivery of my responsibilities. I shall deal with your expectations with professionalism and respect.

I demand then the same from every employee of this municipality. I will do my very best to foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation that eill keep us all working enthusiastically and harmoniously as one family under my leadership starting today and in the next years to come.

To all those who helped me in the recent campaign, I thank you for your support and rest assured, with the help you have extended me, you wont be disappointed.

In the days to come, let us take up the challenge of building anew, the pride Mayor Yabes left as a legacy to the Maitumians and the many good practices he had passed on to the people of Maitum.

I ask you then to stand by me, as we handle the challenges of strengthening peace and prosperity for our beloved Maitum.

Mga igsoon ko, akong usbon paghangyo sa kanunay ninyong suporta. Magkahiusa tang tanan para sa paglambo ug kalinaw sa atong pinalanggang lungsod.

Thank you and may God bless us all.
